In 2017 they welcome their first cohort to the new Diploma in Innovation, a unique course from the newly established UTS Faculty of Transdisciplinary Innovation.

Students gain knowledge, skills, perspectives and strategies to address the open, complex and networked problems, challenges and opportunities in today's world. In particular, students develop high-level conceptual thinking and problem-solving practices that lead to the development of innovative, creative and entrepreneurial outcomes.

Tuition fees for international students vary between courses and range from A $20,830 to A$ 40,800 per year.

Course structure

Course structure explained
Students must complete 48 credit points made up of 32 credit points of compulsory subjects and 16 credit points of electives.
Subjects are organised in two streams (each 24 credit points). The streams relate to the areas of creative intelligence, and innovation and entrepreneurship.

This course is offered on a three-year, part time basis and must be taken concurrently with an undergraduate coursework degree program at UTS. Taught in intensive mode, study is undertaken at times outside of core degree requirements.

UTS also see progress on the A$1 billion+ City Campus Master Plan in 2017. Work is currently underway on the new Building 2 project which will see the addition of a new library and student hub to the iconic UTS Tower.
