A new two-week Orientation program

To give students the best start to their student experience, UTS:INSEARCH is pleased to announce that Orientation Week has recently been re-designed for all future Semester 1 intakes.

This change means that students who commence their UTS Foundation Studies or Diploma course in Semester 1 2017 onwards will now undertake a compulsory two-week Orientation, which consists of the existing week of Orientation activities plus an additional Preparation Week.

Preparation Week is an exciting initiative, where students will attend a variety of sessions to help them prepare for their time at UTS:INSEARCH. These sessions are tailored to each program and will provide students with the essential tools needed to prepare for their classes. Students will benefit from:

▫ A full introduction to their new course of study, including the aims and learning outcomes of all their subjects
▫ Meeting their teachers
▫ Being welcomed into their learning communities
▫ UTS online and tutorial/peer learning groups
▫Getting to know their fellow classmates before classes begin.

Because of this additional week, Orientation has moved forward by one week and will now begin on Monday, 6 March 2017. Please ensure that your students make amendments to their travel and visa plans in order to arrive before this date.

Students with Offer Letters issued before 15 June 2016 will need to be issued with a new Offer Letter. If you have access to OOS, please re-generate the Offer Letter through OOS to receive an updated Offer Letter which will specify the revised dates.
If you do not have access to OOS, please contact the Student Admissions team and request a new Offer Letter to show the revised dates.

收到2016年与6月15日之前发出的录取通知书的学生需要一个新的录取通知书。

Affected students who have already accepted their offers, or who are already enrolled in English at UTS:INSEARCH, will be advised of this change separately.

Please note that due to a smaller and more manageable cohort, students who commence with UTS:INSEARCH in Semester 2 and 3 intakes will continue to participate in a one-week Orientation. These students will still benefit from the Preparation Week program; it will however be a condensed version.

请注意，由于是更小和更易于管理的群体，UTS：INSEARCH在第二学期和第三学期招收的学生将继续参加为期一周的迎新。这些学生仍然会从准备周计划中受益;但将是一个精简模式。
